Tips for Designing Better PVC Banners

Designing a PVC banner printing in Singapore may sound like a simple thing. All you have to do is choose a background color, input images, texts, and other decorations as you please. Generally speaking, this is true. However, designing is not something that you can take lightly, especially if you are designing for advertising. Since PVC banner for advertising needs to be able to grab people’s attention, a meticulously thought design process is needed. If you want to make a banner that can leave a positive impression upon anyone who sees and create a long-lasting impact, there are several things that you should do as you design your banner. Find out more about it below:

1. Banner Size

First thing first, before designing, you have to make sure what is the size of the banner you want to make. There are a lot of options that you can choose for banner printing, however, you have to make sure that it is suitable for your needs. The design of the banner that you do digitally must be suitable with the available PVC material stock that will be used for the banner. If you design too big or too small, it won’t appear nice upon printing.

2. Simplicity is Best

People tend to make mistake by overdoing their designs. It is wrong to think that the more elements included in your design means the better your design is. Often times, when it comes to design, keeping it simple is the best thing to do. Don’t put too many words in the design of your banner. People don’t spend a lot of time trying to read your banner as they only pass by withing seconds. That’s why the message that you try to convey with the banner must be included in simple sentences that are easy to understand so that you can make sure that you deliver your messages effectively. Less cluttered banner design is more pleasant to the eye as well.

3. High Quality Images

As you design a banner, often it is great to include images to make it more interesting. However, you have to remember to only use images with high quality and high resolution. People tend to forget about this and end up with stretched or pixelated images on their banner. This is because the images they use are of low quality, being less than 300 dpi. This resolution is what you have to always keep in mind and ensure whenever you try to include an image in your design.

4. Colors

Commonly, printers use the CMYK color process method, where they use the color cyan, magenta, yellow, and black to produce more color combinations and have them printed on your banner. However, the colors that are used on your monitor display usually use RGB colors. RGB colors that are displayed on your monitor will sometimes appear differently upon printing due to this difference color process method. This will lead to an unsatisfactory result. To avoid this, you have to change your display to CMYK as well so that the colors will be more accurate.
